Field trips
At the end of the conference, participants are given the opportunity to take part in a field trip. The trip will visit old mines, mineral occurrences and spectacular geological exposures of the Altai Mountains. During the trips, visitors will be able to get familiar with the mineralogical and petrographic features of this folded area as well as to trace the geodynamic evolution of the central part of the Central Asian fold belt.
Prerequisite for participation in the field trip is the presence of vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis and/or a special insurance policy.
